Dr. John Cord has recently joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor of Music in Applied Trumpet Studies at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. John is a native of the state of Iowa and completed his Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Iowa. His graduate degree studies include a Master’s degree from Yale University and the Doctorate of Musical Arts degree from the University of North Texas. Dr. Cord’s fields of expertise lie mainly in classical and jazz trumpet performance. He has worked as a professional recording artist, concert performer, lecturer and educator for over 12 years. |
